Ed has served as in-house patent and trademark counsel for two Fortune 5 companies, Head of IP for a startup, and as a senior associate at a law firm now on the Global 20 ranking list. Ed works with our Cognition IP team members to impart learned best practices to help our firm provide practical, cost-effective legal solutions for our clients.
Ed has extensive experience in building international patent and trademark portfolios, creating IP strategies, working on IP-related M&A transactions and due diligence, inbound/outbound technology and software licensing and open source usage and in implementing internal company legal policies and procedures.
